Цель урока: Формирование знаний, умений и навыков через чтение, говорение и письменную речь
Задачи урока:
1. совершенствовать навыки чтения, говорения, письменной речи
2. развивать речевые способности учащихся
3. воспитывать чувство патриотизма у молодежи
Планируемые результаты: Знать лексику по теме «Путешествие». Уметь работать в группе, задавать вопросы по теме «Путешествие. Туризм» и отвечать на них.
Техническое обеспечение урока: учебник, презентация, компьютер, экран
Дополнительное методическое и дидактическое обеспечение урока: бумага форматаA4, фломастеры, вырезки из журналов (для создания лифлета).
Содержание урока
I. Организационный момент.
Good morning, friends! I’m very glad to see you today. Let’s start our lesson.
II. Формулирование учебной проблемы.
Do you like travelling? I think that the theme “Travelling is topical for everybody because we can’t imagine our life without travelling in the modern society.
III Фонетическая зарядка. (СЛАЙД 2-3)
В качестве зарядки предлагаю пословицы и поговорки по теме урока.
Now, we’ll begin our lesson with English proverbs about travelling. Look at the blackboard. Listen to me and repeat after me.
English proverbs:
1. All roads lead to Rome. (Все дороги ведут в Рим.)
2. Every country has its customs
3. So many countries, so many customs
4. When at Rome, do as Romans do. (Когда находишься в Риме, поступай как римляне. В чужой монастырь со своим уставом не ходят)
5. Better to see something once, than to hear about it a thousand times
6. East or West, home is best. (Восток ли, запад ли, а дома лучше всего.)
IV. Речевая зарядка

3. What kinds of travelling do you know?
4. What is the fastest kind of travelling?
5. What is the slowest kind of travelling?
6. How do you prefer to travel and why?

9. Do you want to cruise along the Volga river?

T: Today we’ll have a trip along the river Volga. We’ll work with the text. (СЛАЙД 5-14)
V. Совершенствование навыков чтения
Предлагаю изучить текст и ответить на вопросы. Мотивирую учащихся на работу с текстом. После прочтения, предлагаю ответить на вопросы по тексту, используя лексику по теме.
T: Students, open your textbooks on page 6 (Spotlight on Russia) and read the text about a voyage up along the Volga in chain and answer the questions.
1. When did we begin our journey?
2. Was it a great chance to see rural life in Russia?
3. Where does the Volga meet the Kazanka River?
4. What cities did we visit during our trip?
5. Where can we see the Archangel Cathedral?
6. What can we do on board the ship?
VI. Проверка домашнего задания
Предположительно учащиеся приготовили информацию о городах расположенных на реке Волга.
T: Now you present your projects “The cities on the Volga”.
VII. Физкультминутка
Hands up! Hands down! Shake! Shake!
(Руки поднимают, опускают, трясут ими)
Stand up! On the tiptoes
Turn around. Step aside,
(Поворачиваются вокруг себя)
Step left! Step right!
VIII. Развитие творческих умений учащихся в диалогической, монологической и письменной речи.
Предлагаю учащимся разделиться на три группы. Каждая группа получает карточку с заданием.
T: Now students, divide into three groups and each group receives a card with a task.
As you can see travel agencies have always been very popular.
T: Do you plan your trip in travel agencies?
P Yes, we do. We always plan our trip in travel agencies.
T: How do you think, is it easy to become a travel agent?
P: I think it is not easy.
Group A: On your desks you have the same sheets of paper. Now I want you to work in group. What a travel agent MUST possess, what skills he NEEDS and SHOULD to have. Some of the words may seem unknown to you? Let’s read them and translate. WORDS: skills - умения , budget- бюджет, to master - совершенствовать.
(учащиеся работают в группах, соотносят качества с модальностью и у доски заполняют схему, проговаривая свой выбор)

Group B: Study the advertisement. (см. Приложние)
You are considering visiting the cities on the Volga and now you'd like to get more information. In 1.5 minutes you are to ask five direct questions to find out the following:
1) dates for departures
2) the most popular sights of the city
3) number of people in the trip
4) number of city tours
5) discounts
Work in pairs. Exchange question sheets and interview one another using these questions (СЛАЙД16)
Group C: Let’s make a leaflet “A voyage up the Volga”. The leaflet must include
• A title which attracts the attention of the reader and states the content;
• An introduction which makes the reader want to continue reading;
• A main body divided into headed sections focusing on relevant information;
• A brief conclusion where main points are summarised. (СЛАЙД17)
IX. Контроль выполнения учащимися заданий.
T: Now your time is over. Let’s check your answers.
X. Подведение итогов работы. Домашнее задание
Учитель оценивает деятельность учащихся на уроке. Прощается с учащимися.
T Thank you for your work. Your marks are… Open your diaries and put down your homework.
Your home task will be to write an email about your voyage up the Volga.
Write a letter and answer 3 questions.
1. Which cities on the Volga have you visited?
2. Which cities you would like to visit?
3. Which places would you advise a tourist to see?
Write 100–120 words. Remember the rules of letter writing. (СЛАЙД18)
