    Цель урока: формирование лексических навыков по теме «Охрана окружающей среды»; активизация на­выков диалогической речи.
    Задачи урока: 
    образовательные: формировать навыков и умений всех видов речевой деятельности: умение работать с новой лексикой, аудировать и читать незнакомый текст с извлечением нужной информации, обсуждать проблемы по данной теме в монологических высказываниях;
    развивающие: развивать способности к логическому изложению содержания высказывания, к формулированию выводов из прочитанного и услышанного, развивать способности к коммуникабельности как явному или неявному выражению своего отношения к окружающей среде и экологии, способности к самостоятельному труду, развивать у детей познавательную активность;
    воспитательные: продолжить ориентировать учащихся на разумную, экологически обоснованную деятельность, способствующую рациональному использованию и охране окружающей природной среды.
    Планируемые результаты: Учащиеся научаться отвечать на вопросы с использованием новой лексики, выбирать нужную информацию для составления диалога, научаться вычленять необходимую информацию из услышанного и прочитанного.

    Содержание урока
    I. Организационное начало урока
    Good morning, people! I see that you are ready for the lesson, so you may sit down.
    II. Сообщение темы, цели урока
    Музыкальный фон. Четыре ученика по очереди читают стихотворение «Hug the Earth» by Lorraine Bayes.

    The Earth is a garden.
    It’s a beautiful place
    For all living creatures,
    For all human race.

    Food is a treasure
    From the soil and the seas
    Clean fresh air
    From the plants and the heels.

    Helping Mother Earth
    We can peacefully roam
    We all deserve the place
    We call our home.

    The warmth of the sun giving life each day
    Turns water into rain, it’s nature’s way.
    And I would like to thank you, Mother Earth,
    I like to see you dressed in green and blue, I want to be by you.
    Do you like it? Do you think we really deserve such home? What problem does it have because of your interference?

    There are a lot of holidays on our planet, but today I’d like to mention April, 22. It’s a special day all over the world. On that day the inhabitants of the Earth celebrate Earth Day. This day is the day when many people show that they can care for our fragile planet. It’s the day for the people to learn what they can do to preserve the planet. The first Earth Day was held in the USA in April 1970.It brought the eco-bible into life. Here are some words on the blackboard, look at them and give their definitions in English.
    Ecology
    P1: Study of plants and living things in relation to their environment.
    Environment
    P2: All the surroundings of an organism, including other living things, climate, air, water and soil.
    Acid   rain
    P3: When harmful gases from cars and factories released into the air fall back to the Earth with rain or snow.
    Rainforests
    P4: Evergreen woodlands that receive at least 100 inches of rain a year, home to more than half of the world’s plants and animals.
    Habitat
    P5: An area that provides animals and plants with food, water, shelter.

    Let’s remember the words we have already learned and match them with their definitions. Card 1.

    And now let’s come down to our topic and say problems do our face every day? Watch the video, please
     Now our planet is in serious danger. What are the problems?
    P1: The air is polluted, factories emit tons of chemicals.
    P2: The water is polluted, it is spoiled with poison.
    P3: Forests are cut down and the country side is spoiled.
    P4: Animals are hurt, some kinds of animals are killed.
    What can we do to save our planet?
    P5: We can reduce using water, gas, electricity.
    P6: We can recycle tins, paper, and plastic containers. We can reuse glass bottles, plastic bags.
    P7: We can help animals.
    What should we do to help nature?
    P8: We should put garbage in garbage bins.
    P9: We should plant and water trees and flowers.
    P10: We should clean parks, our school territory
    1.Диалогическая речь.
    Look at the picture. What message does it have? How is the quotation in ex.1 p.66 related to it?
    Match man’s actions (1-4) with their consequences (a-d), then discuss. 
    Now come to the next exercise. Work in pairs. Use the phrases in the box and the fact file to discuss, according to the example.
    2. Чтение
    Before starting to read, let’s get acquainted with the phrases that appear in the dialogue. Guess what they mean.
    What might the dialogue be about?
    Let’s read and check. Exercise 3 page 67.
    Now read again and answer the questions. Explain the words in bold.
    The next task is to role-play the dialogue, try to express all the emotions of the speech.

    Let’s do some exercises for our eyes. 
    1. Blink quickly! Close your eyes! Sit still, count slowly from1 to 5. ( 4-5- times)
    2. Close your eyes, counting from 1 to 3! Open your eyes and look into the distance, counting from 1 to 5. (4-5 times)
    3. Stretch your arm forward! Follow the movements of your forefinger to the left and to the right, up and down without turning your head! (4-5 times)
    4. Look at your forefinger, stretched forward counting from 1 to 4, then look into the distance, counting from 1 to 6. (4-5 times)

    Look at the form of Adoption Certificate. What is it for? What might the missing words be? Now listen and fill in the gaps.  Аудио 
    Check if you were right.

    Tell your friend all you know about tree adoption.

    VI. Итог урока
    Summing up our lesson, let’s make a video quiz. Watch, answer and check your knowledge on the ecological problems. Video quiz Have you enjoyed id? How successful are you?
    VII. Домашнее задание
    Your home task will be to learn the vocabulary on the topic and do exercises 1-5 in the Workbook Page 29.
    Творческое задание. Make a project on one of ecological problems and be ready to present it to the students.
